Educational, Peer-Based Support

Caregiving affects more than the body—it impacts emotional wellbeing, identity, and resilience. At Antlers Creek Caregiver Foundation, we offer non-clinical, peer-based self-care resources designed to help caregivers better understand their own stress, prevent burnout, and reconnect with themselves along the caregiving journey.

This support is rooted in shared experience, reflection, and practical self-help tools—created by caregivers, for caregivers.

Topics We Explore

1

Stress Management & Emotional Resilience

Educational tools and reflections that help caregivers understand the emotional impact of caregiving and develop healthy coping strategies for ongoing stress.

2

Burnout & Compassion Fatigue Awareness

Resources that help caregivers identify early signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, normalize these experiences, and explore ways to protect their wellbeing.

3

Mindfulness, Rest & Realistic Self-Care

Simple, practical approaches to rest and presence—focused on what is achievable in real caregiving situations, not perfection or performance.

4

Journaling, Storytelling & Reflection

Writing caregiver stories, and reflective exercises that help caregivers process emotions, document experiences, and find meaning in their journey.

5

Humor, Legacy & Meaning-Making

Gentle use of humor, storytelling, and legacy-building as tools for connection, perspective, and emotional release.

Caregivers are encouraged to take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and return to these resources whenever needed.
